More Comic-Con – Scream Queens & Nerve

I have updated gallery with more Scream Queens and Nerve Comic-Con photos in San Diego on July 21-22, see photos below. I have added many videos to the video vault, check them out below! New social media photos added! Below you can see all the new (some old) Scream Queens season 2 information that was revealed during Comic-con, September 20 can’t come fast enough! Til then we have Nerve to look forward to in theaters this Wednesday (July 27), see it if you can!

Expect to see several familiar faces

The main cast — Jamie Lee Curtis (Dean Munsch), Niecy Nash (Denise Hemphill), Keke Palmer (Zayday Williams), Glen Powell (Chad Radwell), Michele, Roberts, Breslin and Lourd — are all reprising their roles for season two, which will be set in a completely different location.

Bye, Kappa

The majority of season one took place at Wallace University’s Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house, but season two is expected to feature scrubs in favor of designer duds. Season two will be set in a hospital where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation. And thanks to California’s newly expanded film and TV credit program, the series will also be moving its production from New Orleans to California.

The Chanels have lost their glamour

Things aren’t going so well for the Chanels, however, who are in a “low-status position” in the new season according to Brennan. “They have fallen from glamour,” star Emma Roberts said. “It’s really funny seeing them trying to hold onto their style when they have no money. They have to work, which is something really foreign to them.”

Added Roberts of the Chanels’ bond this season: “They’re not as besties but they’re on good terms this season at least.”

There will be a time jump (3 years later)

Zayday (now a few years older than when viewers saw her last) will fit right into the new setting as a medical school graduate working with Dean Munsch, who, co-creator Brad Falchuk says, has “purchased a hospital.” “All of the girls will be medical students under the rule of Munsch and three hunky doctors,” he added.

Testosterone time

Speaking of hunky docs, John Stamos (Grandfathered) and Taylor Lautner (Twilight) have been added to the season two cast as medical professionals. Stamos is slated to play Dr. Brock Holt, the hospital’s “brilliant but secretive head surgeon,” while Lautner will portray Cassidy Cascade, “a doctor at the hospital who suffers from a strange medical condition and becomes a suspect when a series of tragic events plagues the institution.” Meanwhile, Glee grad James Earl is set to play a character named Candy Striper.

Hester is (probably) not the killer

The biggest question mark is season’s one killer, Hester (Lea Michele). “When we come back, we don’t know where Hester is,” Brennan said. Michele said she still shares scenes with the other castmembers even though she may not be at the hospital herself. “My costume is very comfortable and I have a fun new accessory to play with,” Michele teased.

When asked about whether the red devil will return, Brennan was coy. “We hadn’t planned on it but you never know,” he said. “It’s a different killer this year, the look is different, the color is different.”

More horror movie references

As the aforementioned cast of characters tries to figure out who the killer is this time, expect to see some classic horror movie references on the small screen.

Season one paid homage to Psycho’s famous shower scene starring Curtis’ mother, the late Janet Leigh, and apparently there’s much more where that came from. “We definitely will have more,” Falchuk teased. “It’s some of the best moments on the show.”

More new faces

Colton Haynes isn’t the only celebrity patient checking into the hospital on season two of Scream Queens. Saturday Night Live’s Cecily Strong is also set to guest-star in the comedy-horror anthology series.
